  13. 1 Tbsp beef stock
  14. Sub rolls
  15. Garnish with shaved provolone

Instructions to make Cheesesteak Sub

  1. Add 1 Tbsp oil, 1 Tbsp butter, all the peppers, onions, 1 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 Tbsp beef stock to a large skillet. Cover the skillet and on low-medium heat soften the peppers and onions, about 10 minutes. Transfer contents to bowl.
  2. In the same skillet add another Tbsp oil and Tbsp butter. Add the chopped shaved beef, 1 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp salt, and on medium heat cook the beef until meat just loses its pink color. While you are cooking the beef constantly stir and break up the meat.
  3. Add provolone cheese and as it melts stir it into the beef. Add the sautéed peppers and onions back to the skillet and mix in with the beef.
  4. Add cheesesteak to a roll and sprinkle grated provolone over the top. For this dish I served with potato chips and cherry tomatoes. Enjoy.
